  5. This program offers the following main features:

  8. Tone or Pulse and manual dialing.

  10. It provides 2 address books for dialing and logging.

  12. It can serve as a stand-alone address book (2 books).

  14. It prints envelopes on LaserJet.

  16. Logging and most other features functional both with or without a modem.
  17.  
  18. It can dial special Tone-Dial services that require additional numbers 
  19. and/or digits.

  21. It accepts non-numeric-character phone numbers ( 1-800-Egg-Head ).

  23. It provides quick conversion of non-numeric numbers directly from the 
  24. keyboard.

  26. It makes it easy to set the system time while calling your local time 
  27. operator.

  29. It functions as a stop watch.

  31. Phone logs may contain job codes.

  33. Phone logs may be viewed, printed and saved to another file.

  44. How to install DiaLog on your hard disk:
  45. *****************************************
  46.  
  47. DiaLog will install itself on your hard disk in the default directory
  48. c:\DiaLog or in a directory of your choice.  It will also optionally
  49. create a program group window with icons for executing DiaLog.
  50.  
  51. This program will not effect any other program or directory on your system.
  52. No modifications will be made to any of the files such as AutoExec.Bat,
  53. Config.Sys, Win.Ini, or any others.
  54.  
  55. DiaLog requires the library file 'VBRUN100.DLL' to reside in your Windows
  56. directory, or a directory in your PATH.  It is available on CompuServe in 
  57. the MSBASIC forum Lib5 as 'VBRUN.ZIP', or the WinADV forum as 'VBRUN1.ZIP'.

  59. The following files make up the DiaLog installation package and should all
  60. reside together in the same directory  for the installation to succeed:

  72. - Installation -
  73.  
  74. The installation procedure assumes you have created an Installation disk
  75. from the Fone14.Exe file.  To obtain the installation diskette type:
  76.           Fone14 a:\ or Fone14 b:\
  77. This will create the installation diskette on drive a: or b:, assuming you 
  78. are in the directory where Fone14.Exe is located.  Label it as: 'DiaLog
  79. Installation Disk'.  
  80.  
  81. 1.  From the Windows Program Manager Menu select: <File> <Run ..>
  82.  
  83. 2.  Enter the path where your installation disk resides and add the
  84.     installation program name.  ( a:\Install or b:\Install )
  85.  
  86. 3.  The installation program will suggest c:\DiaLog as the directory for
  87.     the DiaLog program.  You may change the disk identifier and the
  88.     directory name.  However, do NOT add another level of subdirectory, 
  89.     unless the subdirectory exists.  If you have a previous version of
  90.     DiaLog already installed, just let "Install" install it on top of it.
  91.  
  92. 4.  The installation program will ask you if you want to create a program
  93.     group window.  You should answer 'yes', because you can always ask
  94.     windows to move or delete it later.  This provides you with ready-to-run
  95.     icons.  (See 'Deleting DiaLog from your system' later in this document.)
  96.     If you already have a previous version of DiaLog with icons, then you
  97.     should answer no, or you will have two sets of icons.  (You can always
  98.     delete one set.)

  100. 5.  You are told the program has been successfully installed.
  101.  
  102. You are now ready to execute DiaLog.  Simply double click on the DiaLog
  103. icon.  DiaLog contains extensive help information.  (Don't forget, 
  104. VBRUN100.DLL must be in your Windows directory, or any other directory that
  105. is in your PATH.  The file may be obtained from CompuServe WinADV forum
  106. Lib16 as VBRUN1.ZIP.)

  110. DiaLog Version Changes

  115. 1.  Windows 3.1 had problems closing DiaLog via the Program Manager if 
  116.     DiaLog had executed the help file.  Windows reported General Protection
  117.     Fault.  Closing DiaLog directly caused no such error.  Got around the
  118.     erroneous error reporting by deleting the unloading of the Help form
  119.     before closing DiaLog.

  161. Deleting DiaLog from your system
  162. ********************************

  164. Use Windows to delete each item in the DiaLog program group by selecting
  165. the icon and then selecting <Delete> from the Program Manager <File> menu.
  166.  
  167. After all icons have been deleted, delete the program group in the same way.
  168.  
  169. Next delete all files in the DiaLog directory, and finally the DiaLog 
  170. directory itself.

  195. There are two ways you are permitted to pass the DiaLog program to other 
  196. people.  One way is by simply passing on the compressed file (Fone14.Exe) 
  197. and the preferred way is by executing Fone14.Exe to a diskette, which 
  198. copies the following files to a single disk (All the files listed MUST be 
  199. included WITHOUT modification.)  Name that disk 'DiaLog Installation':
